The Police Spokesman Kituuma Rusoke has disclosed that a total of 13 UPDF soldiers were yesterday evening arrested after they attacked Wakiso Police Station and assaulted the District Police Commander a d other officers over a land related dispute.
According to a statement from the Uganda Police dated June 2nd 2025, the Police officers at Wakiso were attacked by Military Personnel reportedly from the Presidential Taskforce on Land matters and Environment traveling in Minbus registration number UBG 041U and UBR 647B.
According to the Police Spokesman, the 13 soldiers confronted the District Police Commander while pursuing a land related matter and demanded that she assists in an eviction which she refused and demanded for a Court Order or directive from the District Security Committee.
It is reported that the DPC refusal angered the armed Military Personnel and during the heated argument the officers at the Station exchanged gunfire before the Solidiers fled the scene but were intercepted by another combined force of Police Officers from Kampala Metropolitan North and UPDF at Yesu Amaala and arrested and are now in custody awaiting disciplinary action.
This a second time for the Military Personnel to attack a Police Station and causing badly harm to the officers.
