NEWS- The Police in Kanungu District have registered two incidents of sudden deaths where one of the incidents was of 27 year old Babra Ninsiima and 28 year old Nabasiita Promise both bar attendants at Matanda Trading Center in Kihihi Sub county, Kanungu District. The duo however died from different circumstances.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman ASP Elly Maate told journalists that it is alleged that on 30th October 2024, at about the deceased developed vomiting and started complaining of stomachache and was rushed to Kigezi community hospital by employer’s wife Mutesa where she was pronounced dead moments later.
Maate explained that the scene was visited by a team of officers from Kihihi Police Station and the body was taken to Kihihi Health Centre IV Mortuary for postmortem examination.
In a second incident, the Employer of Nabasiita identified as Emmanuel received a phone call from Sunday, a boda boda chairman at Matanda stage, asking to check at Manager’s door if she was inside.
Upon reaching the door, he heard the deceased screaming from inside and this forced them to break the door, only to find deceased in critical condition.
It’s at this point that she was also rushed to Kihihi Health Centre IV where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
It is reported that the deceased Nabasiita is said to have had a history of demonic attacks and it is suspected that she attained injuries by herself.
The scene was visited and documented and the post-mortem examination was done at Kihihi Health Centre IV as investigations continue.
