NEWS– Four people traveling in a black Toyota Harrier were on Monday morning fatally shot dead at by suspected armed assailants along Lemusui Road in Akonguyo village, Amudat District.
According to IP Longole Mike, Ag PRO of MT MOROTO/ASTU, after knowledge about the incident, detectives accompanied by a canine unit, gathered evidence and recorded witness statements at the scene.
“The victims, all from Mbale city, have been transported to Amudat Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination and collection by their relatives,” said Longole.
Longole noted that no arrests have been made so far, and the motive behind the attack remains under investigation.
“Authorities strongly condemn this senseless act of violence against innocent road users,” he added.
