KAMPALA- Hours after a cement mixer truck was involved in a fatal crash at the Nkumba traffic lights on Entebbe, news coming in indicates that the road has witnessed another collision.
Friday’s accident according to Lawrence Mushabe an eye witness involved Coaster bus allegedly carrying school children on a trip to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC).
Mushabe told the press that the motorvehicle with registration UAM 439N on Friday at around 1Pm failed to brake and rammed into a Toyota Premio (UBB 760G).
The good news part of it is that no injuries were reported from this incident becoming a relief after the Wednesday’s crash that at the same location that tragically claimed a life.
“The territorial police in Entebbe has today morning on the 17-4-24 at around 8:30 am registered a fatal crash involving M/Vs UBQ 371P Mitsubishi RVR, UAN 836B a concrete mixer & UG 310006 T/Hilux,” said Kananura in a statement.
In Wednesday’s crash, a city lawyer with Maldes Law Firm in Kampala, Okiot died on spot after a cement mixer truck belonging to Seyani Brothers registration number UAN 836D lost control and rammed into the barriers in the middle of the road before falling onto his Mitsubishi RVR registration number UBQ 371P.
The deceased, who was the husband of Kyenjojo Grade I Magistrate, Ms Faith Irene Kwagala, was traveling to Entebbe for a court session.
On LinkedIn, Okiot described himself as an Advocate, Tax Specialist and Data and Privacy Compliance Lawyer. He also was a law tutor at Uganda Christian University in Kampala.
