NEWS- The Rushenyi potential Member of Parliament Fideli Mubangizi has rallied to all musicians in Ntungamo district and Uganda at large to embrace government programs aimed at alleviating poverty from their households.
Mubangizi’s remarks came while addressing hundreds of Ntungamo dwellers and others from neighboring districts of Mbarara, Kabale, Rukungiri, Kisoro, Rwampara, Isingiro who thronged NM Motel Rubaare-Ntungamo during the launch of Nibweija kushesha Album.
According to him, the NRM government has so far initiated a number of programs like Parish Development Model, Women Entrepreneurship fund, Emyooga, youth livelihood and among others. These programs according to him will help in mopping out the syndrome of subsistence to the money economy.
Mubangizi was advising Ntungamo dwellers, Ntungamo gospel musicians and other non-gospel musicians who trekked long distances from other districts to support the Launch of Nibweija Kushesha Album.
Fideli Mubangizi who was also the guest of honour thanked everybody who witnessed the launch and their support thus urging political leaders and civil servants to always do the same to all types of musicians.
He also requested support in the forthcoming 2025 NRM primaries for the Rushenyi County Parliamentary seat which will lead him to the general elections 2026.
Mubangizi urged the Ntungamo dwellers to avoid violent elections at every step either in NRM primaries or general elections.
At the same event, the Ntungamo District Council Speaker Nicholas Twikirize canvassed for the support as he is prepared to contest for the District chairmanship in general elections come 2026.
Best Dativa and her husband Boaz Mwesiga a.k.a Cafenol thanked everyone who attended their launch of the long awaited “Nibweija Kushesha Album”. They also promised to always give support to whoever needs their support.
