Bishop Ahimbisibwe witnessing the signing of Holy Matrimony of Rev Eng Aaron Nkwatsibwe

NTUNGAMO- The South Ankole Diocesan Bishop the Rt Rev Nathan Ahimbisibwe has urged newly married couples to be committed in their marriage for sustainability.

Bishop Ahimbisibwe said this today during the Holy Matrimony of Rev Eng Aaron Nkwatsibwe and his fiancée Amutuhaire Deckriine at St Matthew’s Cathedral Kyamate Ntungamo municipality.

He asked Rev Eng Aaron Nkwatsibwe and his wife Amutuhaire Deckriine to be devoted to marriage vows they have exchanged before the congregation.

Bishop Ahimbisibwe noted that marriage is a school where one is awarded a certificate before the congregation but it must be maintained until death departs them.

He requested couples to love and respect each other in order to have an everlasting and happy marriage.

In attendance there was the archbishop emeritus His Grace Stanley Ntagali, a friend and mentor to Rev Eng Aaron Nkwatsibwe and many priests across the Diocese.

Later, Rev Eng Aaron Nkwatsibwe and his wife Amutuhaire Deckriine took their parents and guests to a luncheon organized by Chosen Restaurant at Jerusalem Cottages.

Rev Eng Aaron and Deckriine Nkwatsibwe thanked Bishop Ahimbisibwe and Maama Lillian and archbishop emeritus His Grace Stanley Ntagali for always being there for them.

He also thanked friends and relatives for supporting them and making their wedding ceremony to be colorful and successful.

In other news, the Ndorwa West County hopeful Member of Parliament Naturinda Eliab Mporera has urged the public to ensure vigilance as the world commemorated the World AIDS Day.

In a press conference at Hill Top Hotel Kabale, Counsel Naturinda Eliab Mporera, called upon the public to take stringent measures against actions that might lead to HIV transmission. 

Mporera emphasized the importance of safeguarding the youths against the scourge urging adults to protect children from potential sexual offenses affecting both girls and boys.

Addressing the HIV-affected individuals, Mporera encouraged consistent medication adherence, highlighting that with proper care, they can lead healthy lives comparable to others.

He directed a special message to the youths, urging them to abstain from sexual acts and concentrate on their studies for a brighter future and urged the adults to practice faithfulness or employ the use of condoms as a safety measure.

With Uganda currently grappling with over 1.2 million people affected by HIV, Mporera also urged the government to extend unwavering support to patients. He specifically called for free services in both public and private health facilities to ensure accessibility for all.
