NEWS- With the suspected Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels reported to have sneaked into the Country; the Rukiga District Authorities have encouraged people to be Vigilant as they join Ceremonial places for Easter celebrations.
Presiding over the Council meeting on Wednesday this week at Rukiga District Rukiko hall, the district Speaker Hon Oscar Akampurira told Councilors to use platforms in their communities to encourage people to stand Vigilant so that the district can peacefully go through the festivities.
This being the Holy week, the speaker charged communities to shun the roaming Political hatred messages meant to divide people but rather foster love for each other, working together towards hitting the main goal of development.
In his remarks, the Rukiga Deputy Resident Commissioner Rukiga district Zadoch Kamusiime said that there were reports that some ADF rebels have sneaked into the country telling people to seriously be keen on the new faces they meet in their communities.
DRDC Kamusiime confirmed to this reporter that there have been Security meetings to ensure that people are very well protected as security personnel are deployed almost everywhere to ensure that no harm is put on people celebrating their Easter.
Rukiga district is included among the close border districts, sharing a border center with Rwanda at Buziba Customs in Kamwezi Sub County where the rebels can enter the country and harm Ugandans.
