KASESE– The Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku has quoted couples to always allocate time and attend to their family members as a tool that would address issues of domestic violence which is on increase in the District.

According to the Bishop, most families are breaking off because the spouses where spending much of their time at their work places and give less time to their family members which he says may not be practical.

Bishop Baluku sounded the advice recently while leading a service for the holy matrimony for Prince Hillary Kibanzanga of Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu who united with her partners Princess Hilda Karungi of Obudhingiya Bwa Bwamba at Paul’s Cathedral in Kasese town.

He says most people have resorted to seeking job opportunities from a broad an issue he says is likely to contribute to families breaking.

In his speech at the reception of the event at Rwenzori international hotel, the secretary general for National Unity Platform Mr. David Lewis Rubongoya who represented the party president at the weeding, congratulated the couples and asked them to be loyal to each other.

He noted that their attendance was a sign of solidarity with the Obusinga Bwa-Rwenzururu and he quickly wished the King good health.
