NTUNGAMO– The Bishop of the South Ankole Diocese the Rt Rev Nathan Ahimbisibwe has urged all Christians repent their sins of corruption, hatred , dishonesty and other immoral acts as they celebrate Christmas and end of year festivals.  

In his Christmas message, Bishop Ahimbisibwe noted that Jesus Christ’s birth should signify that God is with human kind not to religious leaders only.

He also asked the Christians to desist from acts of hypocrisy to their friends like what Judas Iscariot did to Jesus Christ saying that this has resulted in conflicts in communities.

Bishop Ahimbisibwe advised the general public to spend sparingly noting that spending needs calculations.

The director of Mwesigwa Rukutana and company advocates Kampala Hon Mwesigwa Rukutana appealed to Ugandans to advocate for brotherhood, sanity, unity, tolerance and forgiveness to each other like Jesus Christ who forgave those who crucified Him.

Hon Rukutana advised the public to concentrate more on fighting poverty in households instead of wasting much of their time on commenting on every statement on social media platforms.

He wished the people of Rushenyi County, Ntungamo district and Uganda a large merry Christmas and a prosperous new year 2024.

The Ntungamo District Woman MP Hon Bata Joselyn Kamateneti reminded the general public to be vigilant ahead of festivals as they go for showbiz and parties.

Hon Kamateneti noted that businesses and homes should not be left unattended because it can be a chance for criminals.

The director of ARISE and former Ntungamo district woman MP Hon Beatrice Rwakimaari asked the public to work hard in order to increase household income and embrace government programs such as PDM, Grow and other income generating activities.
