Bishop Rubaramira at Muhanga Parish

NEWS- The Bishop of Kabale Diocese Rt. Rev. Callist Rubaramira on Saturday opened St. Charles Lwanga Muhanga Catholic Church as 8th parish in Mutorele deanery.

The Church is found in Nyundo Sub County, Bukimbiri County Kisoro District. The opening ceremony was held at the grounds of the church near Lake Mulehe in the same area and the Bishop clearly declared the desirable opening of the Muhanga Catholic Church as a parish.

He urged the priest of Muhanga Catholic Church Rev. Fr. John Nsengiyumva introduced about three projects that will sustain the parish to gain revenue and ordered for the establishment of a parish council not later than February 2024.

Bufumbira south constituency MP Hon Alex Niyonsaba Seruganda who represented the chief guest, state minister for Finance and planning Hon. Henry Musasizi Ariganyira thanked the development done by Bishop Rubaramira in the whole diocese of preaching the gospel and ordination of Reverends.

Seruganda requested the Bishop to elevate Nyarubara Catholic Church to a parish status before he retires stressing that Christians of Nyarubara in Bufumbira south constituency have always advocated for this development.

The area MP Bukimbiri county Hon. Eddie Kwizera Wagahunga thanked Bishop Callist Rubaramira for extending light in Bukimbiri County by opening a new parish of Muhanga to his people.

The Legislator further urged priests to always pray for leaders to desist from corruption since the vice hinders development of God’s people.

Meantime, residents of Murora Sub County in Kisoro District have been implored to desist and halt family disputes in their communities.

This was revealed 2023 by the chief guest Keneth Rwego who doubles as the Director of Eden Mission at the 2nd graduation of Family empowerment course held at Rugeshi primary school in Rugeshi village Chibumba parish Murora sub county Kisoro District where over 196 people went home with certificates of this course.

The over 190 couples are from only two villages, Rugeshi and Biizi.

 Rwego appealed to graduates to ensure that they have erased disputes in their families as a way of practicing what they have been taught for over one year as they started the course in January.

He further urged them to always read the Bible as a source of comfort when in trouble as well as reminding themselves what they learnt for one year.

This course is fully sponsored by Eden Mission to all religions in Africa to married couples where the study covers spiritual development, personal finance and business, Parenting and child development and healthy marriage.

On behalf of all graduates, Geoffrey Tumwiringire thanked the leadership of Eden Mission because as married couples they have gained knowledge on how they can boost homes in terms of finance and tutelage of their children.
