BREAKING! Ugandan government bans Kaveera and plastics usage

KAMPALA – Businessmen dealing in Kaveera and manufacturing factories in Uganda and other dealers are living in fear after a directive by State Minister for Environment Beatrice Anywar prohibiting same is issued on Wednesday, February 26.

The Minister has banned the manufacturing imports, use and sale of single-use plastic items in the country’s latest step to protect the environment.

The minister’s directive is targeting plastic bags, cups, coffee stirrers, water bottles, and most food packaging materials that pose a threat to the environment.

The directive comes into force with immediate effect according to Anywar.
