SPORT- The Bushenyi District Football Association (DFA) has set 9th and 10th February 2024 for the 4th tier district games 2024 season.

The resolution was reached on Saturday 27th January 2024 during a stakeholders meeting that took place in Ishaka town in the mid – morning hours.

According to information got by our reporter, these 4th tier games will be played in a galla format at two playgrounds OF Kizinda which is the home ground for Six O’ Clock FC and Bushenyi Main Stadium which is the home for Bushenyi Veterans FC since all the two Bushenyi giants will be travelling for away matches in the Regional league.

Bushenyi has some known registered teams at the district level and these include Kamoma fc, Kashenyi Supersport fc, Bumbaire fc, Bwera fc, Sendyowa fc, Buyanja fc, Bul Fc Nyakizinga, Ishaka Ruins fc, Bushenyi elites fc, Kizinda pro stars, Nkinga fc and Voice of Ruhinda that participated in the previous tournament.

At least 8 teams are expected to participate in this 4th tier block as they prepare for the regional mini-league. It should be noted that Bushenyi and Mbarara districts are only ones that applied in FUFA to host the mini – league and the district is only waiting for a few procedures to see if it can win the spot.

Speaking during the stakeholders meeting, Mr. Ntegyereize Michael, an official from Bushenyi District Football Association said they will only allow teams to use players who are licensed at the district level since their main aim is to develop talents of emerging new players though there is also a provision of 5 non registered players for each team that will be having inadequate squad.

Engineer Moses Kamuntu, CEO Kamoma fc (acting DFA delegate) requested team owners and managers to register their players in time in order to avoid inconveniences.

The meeting was also attended by Sentare Brian, the vice Chairman Bushenyi elites fc, Kagundu Charles from Ishaka Ruins fc, Katungye Wilber one of the managers of Sendyowa fc among other team leaders.
