On Thursday afternoon; Bushenyi District RDC’S office under tutelage of Commissioner Atuhairwe Robert has made an impromptu visit to Bushenyi Health IV. RDC’S office was represented by Igambirine Hillary- Assistant RDC after tete-a-tete engagement with RDC Atuhairwe Robert that tasked Assistant RDCS to go to the field and monitor a motley of projects.
Dr.Viane Namanya- Incharge of Bushenyi Health Centre IV appreciated government and Bushenyi leadership for the support given to make the facility functional; Dr.Namanya said that the Theatre is operational, they have Health staff ready to handle patients, medicines and machines supplied by government.
Dr.Namanya said that they handle deliveries of mothers between 120- 200 a month. They have admissions and out patients component. Dr.Namanya also saluted government for erecting up a General Ward under construction and said once the ward is completed; will decongest other wards that witness high influx of patients.
Conversely; Dr.Namanya raised some challenges that he has forwarded to Bushenyi District leadership and central government which include inter alia; Ambulance that is a fuel guzzler that challenges them to use, need for incinerator, functionalising the mortuary, refurbishment of old ward and more staffing.
Igambirine Hillary- Assistant RDC got a chance to talk to mothers in maternity ward ; appreciated them for delivering in a Health facility and implored them to consistently get post natal services to maintain good health of their babies and inferably informed them that all services in government Health facility are free and should they anyone demand kickbacks; RDC’S office is open to listen to their plight. Patients confined in Assistant RDC that they salute dedication of Health staff.
