NEWS- Centenary Bank Rukungiri District branch has donated 20computers to St Charles Lwanga seminary Nyakibale to improve on their teaching and understanding of technology.
The donation was delivered at the seminary premises in Ndorero cell, Southern division, Rukungiri municipality in Rukungiri District.
The Rukungiri Centenary Bank Branch Manager Vanansio Mpirwe revealed that they annually share half of their profits with the communities that supports them stressing that this will help the students in acquiring skills on technologies so that they can in the future employ themselves.
Mpirwe also urged the students to share the acquired knowledge with other people in their communities as a basic to enhance technological development.
The Rector of St Charles Lwanga Seminary Nyakibale, Rev. Father Deus Tweyongyere praised Centenary Bank for supporting the school activities and development of technology among the children.
Rev. Father Tweyongyere pointed out that the school has had 12 Computers which were insufficient to accommodate the ever increasing School enrollment.
St Charles Lwanga seminary Nyakibale students led by Arinda Cadias and Mukundane JohnDisan revealed that the donation of the computers by Centenary Bank will reduce congestion during the practical lessons in the computer laboratory. They are optimistic that the donation will push them along way in technological advancement.
The head of ICT department at the seminary Byomugisha Oswald promised to work hand in hand with the students to maintain the computers in good working condition for many years.
