KABALE– Christians of Karujanga Greater Catholic Center have hailed minister David Bahati for his, support towards the develpmental projects that have ever taken place not only within in Karujanga Catholic Center but in the whole constituency of Ndorwa West.
This was said at the fundraising ceremony that was geared towards raising money to complete the priests’ house.
Christians led by the Chairperson Construction committee Sylvester Kakwandi, said that minister Bahati who is also the Ndorwa West member of Parliament and chairman NRM Kabale district has for long been supporting every project at the catholic center giving an example of roofing the whole Catholic Church of Karujanga, giving out over 200 bags of cement to the construction of the catholic Church, supporting St. Banabasi S. S Karujanga with computers, among many others.
In his speech the chairman explained that the ministers’ support will never be in vain adding that not forgetting the blessings from God.
He added that the priests’ house project will cost 185 million shillings and that the construction been ongoing for the last fifteen months adding that once completed project will be one of the requirements for them to apply for the parish.
The LC 3 chairman Kibuga sub county Mr. joined other Christians by thanking minister David Bahati for working tirelessly to see Kibuga being a Sub county not forgetting the benefits that follow when an area gets a sub-county status.
Speaking as the Guest of Honor during the same fundraising mass at the church accompanied by sub county leaders, district leaders, the Minister of State for Trade, Industry and Cooperatives David Bahati revealed that the government’s plan is to enhance the development of industry and tourism sectors to support the community and the church at large to achieve social-economic transformation.
Minister David Bahati sounded a warning against the reported corruption and extortion in the implementation of Parish Development Model whose main purpose is to uplift the 39 percent of Ugandans from the poverty line to money economy.
Preaching during the fundraising mass, the Rwanyena Catholic parish Priest Rev Fr. Deusdedeti Musinguzi asked the Christians to inculcate in themselves a spirit of supporting the Church in recognition of the blessings and opportunities that come their way.
He also implored Christians in positions of leadership to ensure that they work towards supporting their followers spiritually.
