The Provincial Secretary Rev Canon William Ongeng has announced hat the Church of Uganda has today elected the new Provincial Heads of Clergy and Laity.
According to a Press Release issued today, Rev Canon Kenneth Kanyankole has been elected Chairperson of the Provincial House of Clergy, while Sam Atul has been elected Chairperson of the Provincial House of Laity.
Rev Canon Kenneth Kanyankole is the Head of Clergy for the Diocese of Kinkiizi, while Sam Atul is the Head of Laity for the Diocese of Lango and is the Mayor of Lira City.
The elections were held today during the 28th Provincial Assembly of Church of Uganda, currently taking place at Uganda Christian University.
