NEWS- The Kabale District Deputy Speaker, Mugisha Ronald Ian, well known as Coach Barca, has refuted all allegations levied against him that he is not being backed by anyone in the upcoming election where he will be contesting to become the Kabale Municipality Mayor.
Coach Barca, who also serves as the Kabale District L.C 5 councilor for Southern Division, in a conversation with our reporter revealed that as a young, energetic man currently serving as the deputy Kabale District Speaker, he has his own ambitions and developmental plans for Kabale Municipality. He emphasized that his aim is to rapidly develop the area when he assumes the Mayorship position.
He mentioned that he has been informed about how some individuals, including his competitors, are spreading rumors that he is being sponsored by another politician stressing that whoever is spreading these allegations does not have the community’s best interests at heart.
Coach Barca asserted that he decided to contest on the NRM ticket to work for Kabale Municipality’s development, rather than engaging in divisive fights.
Deputy Speaker Mugisha affirmed to the general public that he is prepared, resolute, and unwavering in his participation and candidacy in the election and declared that he cannot be swayed by monetary influence because his dedication is invaluable urging people to disregard all allegations.
He called on the general public to register and verify their identities in the yellow book so that they can participate and vote for the leaders of their choices condemning any actions that may lead to division, whether based on religion, tribe, or politics, and encouraged cooperation to foster development in their areas.
He unanimously urged the public to reject leaders who tarnish the names and images of others instead of presenting their own manifestos to the public.
