NEWS- The Rukiga County Hopefully Honorable Member of the Parliament Hon Kiconco Patrick Katabazi has appreciated the Kigezi Diocesan Bishop for the Easter Massage fostering family development and poverty eradication among communities.
Kiconco Patrick Katabazi aka KP was speaking to believers at St. Andrews Nyeikunama COU as he joined Christians to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In a Massage read by the Archdeacon Nyabireerema Archdeaconry Ven Can Turyatunga Manase, the Kigezi Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev Gad Akanjuna emphasized a need of Believers working hard towards educating their children, and also setting up income generating projects.
The Bishop further encouraged believers to also foster cleanness in their Families based on the Cleanness competition which was recently successfully carried out in the Diocese.
Kiconco Patrick Katabazi said that Poverty levels in families within Kigezi Sub Region have remained high, thus encouraging believers to join hands in sweeping away the Vice in the Region.
During the function held at St Andrews Nyabireerema Archdeaconry, 5 people were baptized including one boy, three Girls and one Married woman switching from Catholic to Anglican faith.
