NEWS- The Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa, has disclosed that research is key area of Uganda’s 10 fold growth strategy that will support the path to a middle income economy.
Rt. Hon. Tayebwa made these remarks while presiding over the 22nd graduation ceremony of the Uganda Management Institute (UMI) in Kampala.
He noted that the government of Uganda projects that the economy will grow from US 55 billion dollars to US 500 billion dollars by 2040.
Deputy Speaker Tayebwa commended the leadership of Uganda Management Institute (UMI) for strengthening their pedagogical approach by fighting duplication of courses, which he said has upheld the academic integrity of the institution.
During yesterday, 3,294 individuals graduated from Uganda Management Institute with PhDs, Masters Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas and Ordinary Diplomas and Certificates.
