The Chief Guest was Prof Charles Kwesiga who challenged graduates to work hard and make sure they achieve their goals without waiting for help from other people like politicians among others.

Speaking at the function, a renowned businessman who is also the University chancellor Dr. James Garuga Musinguzi wondered why most grandaunts run to look for money in the Asian and Middle East countries yet they can get it in Uganda.

Garuga advised the new graduates to think more of being job creators in their own land than flocking foreign countries seeking for the green pastures.

“I just get annoyed when I see our own young Ugandans running to these Arabian and other countries to look for jobs yet they are already equipped with skills of creating employment in Uganda”, he said.

Professor Emmanuel Karoro who acts as Director of Post Graduate studies and research at the University thanked the government of Uganda for supporting them and hailed parents/guardians for giving them learners stressing that their main aim is to ensure affordable and quality education for every Ugandan.

Professor Karoro further tasked graduates to use the gained skills properly so as to become useful citizens and always seek for God’s guidance since he is the almighty provider of everything in life.

The graduation ceremony was also attended by the special presidential advisor on Public relations Canon Mary Karoro Okurut, Western Uganda’s elderly MP Joram Tibasiimwa, Vice Chancellor Kyambogo University Eli Katunguka among others.
