MITOOMA- The Mitooma District Woman Member of Parliament Hon Agasha Juliet Bashisha has encouraged students to work hard and achieve much through education.

Honorable Bashisha says it’s only through parents educating their children that Uganda can have successful and important future generations and asked them to be disciplined, humble if they want the society to respect them.

The Legislator was speaking to staff and learners of St Paul’s Rwempungu Secondary School in Kanyabwanga Sub – county, Mitooma district on Monday 19th February 2024 where she had paid a visit.

On the same day, Hon Agasha delivered her Ugx 1 Million contribution which she had pledged towards the construction of a classroom block at the school.

Furthermore, she delivered text books which she says were lobbied from the Ministry of Education and sports, donated foot and net balls to learners in order to support the co – curricular activities. The textbooks donated are for chemistry, physics, Biology and Entrepreneurship.

She congratulated the school for performing well in the recently released Uganda Certificate of Education UCE with 9 students in Division One before thanking the school administration and teachers for working hard towards learners’ excellence.

The Headteacher St Paul’s Rwempungu Secondary School madam Korugyendo Plasdia thanked Hon Juliet for being a considerable leader who does not work only on government projects but on peoples’ concerns as well.

The Headteacher advised learners to always prepare in time if they want the best grades saying “do not wait for tomorrow so that you can be ready because time is now”.
