The Police in Rukiga District have arrested Geoffrey Wilson Kareba for allegedly for cutting his 70 year old sister Alice Joventa Mutwigi to death.
Its alleged that, the suspect went to the home of the sister at Kariba village Karorwa Parish Bukinda Sub-county in Rukiga district yesterday and asked her why she is bewitching his family and the sister replied to him that he’s going to see more.
This angered the suspect who had a panga and cut the sister on the head three times and when he realized that she was dead, he handed himself to the Sub-county Chief of Bukinda with the panga and the Chief called the Police who re-arrested the suspect.
The Kigezi Sub-region Police Spokesman Elly Maate has confirmed the incident and the Police visited the scene of crime and documented it.
The suspect is currentlt being detailed at Rukiga Central Police Station and the body was taken to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination as investigations continue.
