KAGADI- Famers in Kagadi district have been encouraged to start planting for the 2025 first cropping season, taking advantage of the current rain fall being experienced.
The call was made by the Kagasdi district senior Agricultural officer Desire Mparana says in some areas, farmers have already received enough rains to plant.
Mparana however advise farmers in areas yet to receive rain to hold on with planting so as do not lose their seeds to dry soil conditions likely to limit plant growth.

In another development, Kagadi grade one magistrate’s court on Thursday remanded two men to Mambugu government prison on two counts of house breaking and theft.
The accused have been identified as Mavin Mukiibi 22 years and Isaac Bijampola 20 years all residents of Kabamba Sub-County in Kagadi district.
Court presided over by His worship Edward Kayukyi heard that on 15th March, 2025 the duo broke into the house store of Magezi Jamadah Francis the district councilor for Kabamba Sub-County and made off with 136 kilograms of dry coffee worth 1.94 million shillings.
Aligned before court, the accused denied the charges and were remanded till 22nd May, 2025 for further hearing of their cases.
