KAMPALA- The Forum for Democratic Change FDC Najjanankumbi faction has trashed the rumored dissolution notice by the Katonga faction FDC counterparts.
The Najjanankumbi team led by Patrick Amuriat Oboi and Nathan Nandala Mafabi while responding to the issued notice revealed that neither Amb. Waswa Biriggwa nor his group has the authority to dissolve the FDC.
“We have seen the document purportedly written by our former Chairman, Amb. Waswa Biriggwa, and would like to clarify that neither he nor his group has the authority to dissolve the Forum for Democratic Change”, Najjanankumbi team wrote on their official social media platforms.
They say that according to Article 36 of the Party Constitution, the only legitimate body authorized to engage or transact any business on behalf of the party is the leadership at Najjanankumbi, under the stewardship of Chairman Hon. Jack Sabiiti.
The Najjanankumbi team trashed the released dissolution notice branding it unauthentic hence called people to treat it the contempt it deserves.
“We, therefore, urge the public to ignore this fake and unauthentic document, and its contents should be treated with the contempt they deserve”, the said.
From the said dissolution notice allegedly issued by Ambassador Waswa Biriggwa, the FDC Katonga seek to dissolve the party FDC.
“Pursuant to the resolution of the national Delegates conference of 19th August 2024 notice yo dissolve the Forum for Democratic Change is here by issued in accordance with article 36 of the FDC constitution”, part of the notice read.
