NTUNGAMO- It was a sombre mood as the Ntungamo district business community assembled in the family of late Joseph Mukasa Kihosho in cell 9 Muko ward Ntungamo municipality received his body for the prayers and overnight vigil last night.
The late Kihosho 69 years former Ntungamo district LDU commander passed away on Wednesday, 29th January 2025 after suffering a heart attack.
He was rushed to Mbarara Referral Hospital, where he breathed his last.
During the benediction of requiem mass, the Sacred Heart Ntungamo Town parish Rev Fr John Baptist Tumusiime described the late Joseph Mukasa Kihosho as very humbled and supportive towards fulfilling the obligations of the church.
Rev Fr Tumusiime reminded all mourners not to let their hearts be troubled but rather trust in God for the everlasting life.
He encouraged the family to be strong and keep praying.
According to the one his children councillor for Ruhaama sub county Ahabwe Bernard Mupenda , the burial program for the father late Kihosho after consultations with the family today, the body will be taken to Sacred Heart Ntungamo Town parish at 12:00pm before being transported to his ancestral home in Rurama Rwengoma Ruhaama, Ntungamo District at 3pm.
Councillor Mupenda asked the family members to keep united if the reputation of the family is to be maintained.
This will be followed by a Mass at 4:00pm, then an overnight vigil.
On Saturday 1st February 2025, the final church Mass will be held at Rurama Rwengoma Ruhaama, followed by his burial in the afternoon.
