KAMPALA- The week that everyone thought would end in jubilation and enjoyment seems to have turned a dark cloud for the family of a fresh Kyambogo University Graduate Judith Kihembo.
News coming in indicates that Kihembo who had just graduated on the University’s 19th Graduation that ran from 6th to 8th December 2023 has passed on, throwing fellow graduands and students into an end of year shock.
A source who preferred anonymity confided to this reporter that Kihembo died on Wednesday, December 20th 2023 at HMK- Kampala, losing the battle to cerebral malaria.
“RIP Judith you graduated last week 9th December now you are gone Eeeeeh God knows this world” a friend posted on social media.
“Its really hard to believe that you are no more. May your soul rest in eternal peace. Its very true life is short but it shouldn’t have been this short, Rest with Angels” another concerned friend posted on her social media handle.
Another graduate whom they graduated on the same day posted that “Bambi Kihembo, May your soul rest in peace. Such a jolly human”.
The deceased becomes the latest victim of University students losing lives. On Friday December 8th 2023, Kabale University was left in shock after the untimely death of the institution student.
The deceased was identified as Audrey Nayebare who was persuing a Bachelor’s of Arts in Social sciences and a resident of Kicwamba Parish, Ruhinda Sub County in Rukungiri district.
Another victim was Bagenda Joshua, registration number 21/U/0019, third year Bachelors of Medicine & Surgery student at Makerere University.
Information from the University indicates that Bagenda succumbed to Aspiration Pneumonia following ICU admission at Mulago Hospital due to a sickle cell.
