Karyaija handing over certificates to retiring Headteachers

NEWS- The Mitooma district chairperson Benon Karyeija has called on school head teachers in Mitooma district to always work hard to leave a legacy in schools they are posted in if they are to be remembered forever.

Karyeija made the call on Friday, November 29th 2024 while speaking as the guest of honour at the farewell function for eleven primary school headteachers who retired from service.

The function was organized by the Mitooma district primary Headteachers Association at Mitooma Town council hall in Mitooma district.

Karyeija noted that if all school head teachers can work diligently in line with their profession, the country will have sustainable development and they will always be remembered even after retirement.

Speaking at the same function, Peace Barungi Gloria, the Mitooma district Education Officer asked school head teachers to learn to live within their means so as to avoid debts that are causing problems to many.

Some of the retired headteachers expressed gratitude to the association for thinking about their service and rewarding them with such a colourful function.

Meanwhile Jonas Babimpa, the chairman of Mitooma District Primary School Headteachers Association noted that the association is committed to doing a number of activities among them bidding farewell to their fellows to give them hope and inspire those who are still in service.
