BUSHENYI- Position for Member of Parliament for Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality will not be an easy ride for anyone who had thought of easily getting the flag to represent people of this area in the 12th Parliament, especially with the coming of Hon Counsel Baryahuha Marvin, a certified Lawyer, advocate and managing Partner of SociiPath Advocates, one of the leading Law firms in Uganda and across east African region.
Hon Marvin is equally an advocate of courts of Judicature and a commissioner of Oaths. Also, I am an illustrious entrepreneur with numerous business interests in services and merchandising business as well manufacturing industries in Uganda.
Currently, he serves as a Diocesan Chancellor of West Ankole Diocese and a Chairperson of Diocesan tribunal.
He is a son of Azarias and Ednah Baryaruha of Bwatogo Cell, Central Division, Bushènyi Ishaka Municipality. Married to Amelia, and God has blessed them with children.
Counsel Baryaruha Marvin holds a Master’s Drgree in Financial Services Law from the Illinois Institute of Technologÿ-Chicago Kent School of Law.
Also holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from Makerere University and a Diploma in Legal Practice from Law Development Centre (LDC).
He studied his high school from Jamhuri High School, Ntare School Mbarara, and did several other courses, particularly in leadership, management, and construction law, including a certification in leadership awarded by Harvard University in 2013.
He has rich experience in public and private sectors, worked with Mukwano Group of Companies as a legal officer, practised law with capital partners, and law firm formally Sam Kuteesa & Co. Advocates from 1998-2004.
He then joined Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA) as manager, legal, and compliance. He is one of the pioneer legal practitioners in the field of public procurement, gaining immerse experience in this area as well as in government.
Hon Marvin, is an active, loyal and committed member of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) political party of which he has been a cadre through high school, University days and up to now, reason he never came back as an independent after the 2020/2021 NRM Primaries. He strongly believes in the NRM party’s core values and principles of Democracy, patriotism, social economic transformation, and Pan Africanism.
With no doubt, Hon Counsel Baryaruha Marvin is surely the real deal for Member of Parliament Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality.
