A section of leaders and Muslims during Eid el fitr prayers

NEWS– Kabale Muslim District Supreme Council, leaders and aspiring politicians on Wednesday joined hands to preach against corruption that is draining up the country.

They condemned this during Eid –el-Fitr celebrations at Ndorwa primary playground in southern Division, Kabale Municipality.

Addressing the journalists after Eid –el-Fitr celebrations Hajji Issa Tindyebwa who is the Chairperson Kabale Muslim District Supreme Council Chairperson and Sheik Kassim Kamugisha, the former Kabale Municipality MP aspirant and current Nakawa Division Deputy RCC said that corruption starts right away from the district levels where people are being sold jobs.

They added that there has been an increase in poor service delivery due to the sale of jobs in district service commissions.

The Kabale district woman MP Hon Catherine Atwakiire Ndamira challenged the public to start fighting corruption at family level as the government is also playing its role.

She further used the same opportunity to rally Muslims to get involved in developmental activities for the benefit of their families.

The aspiring leaders Grace Ankunda  Bekunda Bwesigye (woman MP Kabale) and Counsel Atweibembere Wilbrod Rwamunahe  (LC5 Chairperson) backed Kabale Muslim District Supreme Council to demand president’s visit to their headquarters in kirigime ward that is in between Rushorooza and Rugarama headquarters of Catholics and Protestants respectively.
