Kanungu District Chairman Eng Sam Arinaitwe Kajojo speaking at the 3rd Annual Inter denomination Thanksgiving

NEWS- Kanungu District Chairman Eng Sam Arinaitwe Kajojo has underscored the importance of unity in order to consolidate the development achieved by the District.

Eng Arinaitwe Kajojo made the remarks today while speaking at 3rd End of year denominational Thanksgiving prayers for Kanungu District which took place at Kanungu District Playground which was held under the theme, “Unity for Social Economic Transformation “.

The District Chairman said that its important to put God first in whatever they are doing and therefore such inter denomination prayers are important and should always be held.

Eng Arinaitwe Kajojo noted that the family that pray together, eat together and work together stays together and it important to note that the Kanungu District Council accepted his vision of annual inter religious prayers and provided support.

The District Chairman thanked all the religious denominations that participated in the thanksgiving prayers where the Catholic Church leaders were conspicuously absent without any representation or an apology.

Eng Arinaitwe Kajojo thanked all the participants especially the Pentecostal Churches who led the prayers guided by Pastor Saturday Nason, and other development partners that included Posta Uganda, Centenary Bank, Kinkizi Development Company of Muzei James Musinguzi Garuga, Pepsi Cola, National Water and Sewerage Corporation, Mr Seth Rukurung, the Private Secretary to the First Lady Mrs Janet Museveni and the different media stations that supported the event.

The prayer were led by the Pentecostal Churches Assembly in Kanungu and the main preacher Bishop Kyomuhendo of Katete Victory Church called on the Christians to avoid sin saying that the fear of Gid is the beginning of wisdom.

Bishop Kyomuhendo said that good leadership brings peace to the community and hailed the government of Uganda led by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for leading a peaceful crusade which has seen the country Develop. 

She blasted come leaders she did not name who have lost moral fabric and are part and percil of destroying the nation.

The event was attended by leaders of various religious denominations that included Diocese of Kinkizi Bishop Rt Rev Dan Zoreka, who expounded the importance of unity and cooperation among all people of God and in attendance was the leader of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Kanungu Pastor John Kule.

Choirs from the Church of Uganda, Seventh Day Adventist, and Kihihi Community Church spiced of the occasion with soul touching gospel melodies and songs of worship.

Later the guests were served to a luncheon that was provided by Kanungu District Local Government as they left at their own leisure.
