The National Resistance Movement Party Deputy Treasurer Hon Jacqueline Kyatuheire has said that Kanungu District is eyeing 100 % win for candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in next week general elections.
Hon Kyatuheire made the remarks today January 8th while meeting NRM grassroot leaders from Kihihi Town Council at Kihihi Polytechnic where she urged all people in the district to vote for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
In 2021, President Museveni got 87% from Kanungu District, however Hon Kyatuheire assured that with the massive mobilisation made by the NRM party structures, the voter turn out will increase and this will translate into massive votes.
Hon Kyatuheire asked the people of Kanungu and Uganda at large to reward President Museveni with many votes for the peace that has enabled development in the country through which Ugandans have prospered.
She explained that NRM votes will be hinged on the 63 members that form grassroot structures who will also get other voters in their localities so that they can vote massively.
The event was used at a training session to the voters aimed at ensuring that no vote is spoilt and voters were advised to report early to the polling station, vote and keep a distance as laid out by the Electoral Commission guidelines.
Other speakers at the function included Kanungu District NRM Chairperson Caleb Tumwesimire Kipande and the Kigezi Sub-region NRM Vote Mobilization Team Deputy Leader Lt Col Edward Natukunda among others.
