SHEEMA- The candidates of Karera technical institute in Kwabwohe Shema were dedicated to God for guidance as they are sitting for their final and continuing Uganda Business and Technical examinations which will start on Friday.

The UBTEB examination for 2024/2025 academic year will start on Friday afternoon with briefing of candidates and they begin writing exams on Monday.

The dedication was led by the former Archdeacon of Kitagata Archdeaconry, Rev. Canon Godffrey Bejura who was sent to Sabbatical leave over his health early this year.

He was assisted by Reverand Can. Hanning Mugasira the parish priest of St. James church of Uganda Karera and Rev. Denis Akampa the chaplain Karera technical institute.

Canon Bejura asked the candidates to always obey the law set by the government and God if they are to be successful in this world of work. Know what is in constitution of Uganda and the ten comendments of God.

“If you complete here your course successfully and you become noncense by drinking alcohol from morning to evening you will be like those who never went to school,” he said.

Bejura urged them to be trust worthy when they start the field of work saying is when they will get more jobs get enough money and  bring to some to  God.

He thanked Principal Boaz Turyahabwe for imparting discipline among students of KARERA technical institute unlike in the past when they were problem to community around them.

“For the period we have been with Turyahabwe we see changed Karera Technical institute and we pray for him to keep with us for another good period of time before ministry think of transffering him,” he said.

The principal Boaz Turyahabwe said a total of 293 candidates are the ones to sit for their final and continuing exams this friday in six courses that include Building construction, Welding and Metal fabrication, Electrical installation, Plumbing, Tailoring and fushion design as well as Utomotive Mechanics.

He thanked the teachers for preparing the students to the maximum saying without any doubt they will pass very well.

He also emphasised that descipline has improved treamediously for the last few years as no student can go outside the campus without permission.

He told them that there was a value added to them none of them will go back home the way he/she came to Karera technical institute. Turyahabwe said that due to good discipline in the school number of students is increasing every year.

During the dedication Mavin Akampurira received Jesus as personal saviour on top of many students who got saved during overnight prayers a week ago.
