NEWS- Office of the Kasese Resident District Commissioner is investigating Mr. Jimmy Mutahunga on allegations of conning women of their money along the lakes shores in Kahendero of Muhokya town council Busongora county South.
It’s alleged that Mr. Mutahunga claimed to have been sent by Obusinga-Bwarwenzururu to register women who would benefit from the cultural institutions and he started requesting for money until when the cultural institution visited the area and announced that they haven’t send any person to mobilize people.
The affected groups include Kahendero OBR Business women group and Kahendro OBR Visionary women group.
According to Mr. Zepher Mubingwa the Deputy Resident District Commissioner in charge of Busongora County, noted that investigations for the community complaint has commenced.
Jovia Mbambu the treasury at Kahendero OBR Business women in an interview with our reporter who visited their office noted that the conman had taken 840000 from the two groups.
Nyesi Masika and Safina Karunji all members of the affected groups report that on July 30th the suspect was taken to the office of the area LCI and he promised to refund the said money on July 31st but all in vain.
Mr. Jimmy Mutahunga in an interview with our reporter said he was working with Busongora South OBR local leaders Emyooga cooperative society.
