NEWS– Over Ugx 57million has been rescued by Kasese Youth Link for Development, a human rights defender nongovernmental organization from conmen who have been obtaining money in disguise of giving jobs to people in Kasese District.
Ronald Kato the Executive Director at of the organization says he picked interest to advocate for the affected people after being notified as a human right defender about the challenges of conning for jobs in the District.
In an interview at his office in Kasese town, Kato noted that the most affected were from the teaching and health profession most of them being women.
He noted that they have been getting tips from the affected people, investigate and then sermon the accused people to refund back the said money since it’s corruption.

The human right defender revealed that some of the accused people who have been conning people of their money are government employees within the District however he declined to mention their names for security reasons.

While responding to the concern, Mr. Lawrence Teruganya the chairperson service commission Kasese District Local Government notified our reporter that his office was also getting rumours from the public about the same public concern however no one has come to his office for an official complaint.
He noted that people complaining wants to furnish the name of the commission.
