KAMPALA- The trial of Molly Katanga and her two daughters, along with George Amanyire and Charles Otai, resumed today following a delay due to internet issues.
The prosecution presented its seventh witness, Dr. Richard Ambayo, a pathologist from Mulago National Referral Hospital.
Dr. Ambayo testified that on November 2, 2023, his team received a request from Bugolobi police station to examine the body of Henry Katanga.
Upon examination, they found an entry bullet wound on the left side of Katanga’s head, which had fractured his skull, and the bullet exited near the right ear.
The body, identified by Katanga’s daughter Martha Nkwazi, showed no bullet fragments or recovery, but photographs of the autopsy and a pathological report were submitted as evidence in court.
Molly Katanga, her daughters Martha and Patricia, George Amanyire, and Charles Otai are facing charges related to Katanga’s murder and tampering with evidence. The trial continues, with two more prosecution witnesses scheduled to testify today.
