KABALE- Forum for Democratic Party Leaders from Kigezi Sub region on Thursday April 4th 2024 endorsed Col. Dr. Kiiza Besigye as their sole candidate for the 2026 general elections and demanded the formation of a new party.
They revealed this during a consultative meeting between FDC Leaders and the party Supporters which was held at New Hilltop Hotel in Kogonji, Central Division of Kabale Municipality.
The chairpersons from Kigezi Sub region led by Mushakamba Vicenti of Kisoro, Katushabe Vasitina of Rubanda and the Kabale district Vice chairperson Gideon Tumwesigye endorsed Besigye to be the one leading the struggle come 2026 adding that they should leave the existing FDC Party with Patrick Oboi Amuriat and the state

The Kabale Municipality legislator Hon. Dr. Nicholas Thaddeus Kamara said that the people of Kabale were waiting for the formation of a new party which is determined to lead the people out of captivity.

Col. Dr. Kiiza Besigye challenged the Public to form groups and rally fellows about the captivity they are in so that they can come up with one stand against the current government.
Besigye added that even the soldiers Mr. Museveni claims to be having are the ones in the worst conditions that need change adding that the struggle is not only for FDC Members but also other members of different parties.
