KANUNGU- The Minister of ICT and National Guidance who is also member of Parliament for Kinkizi East Hon. Dr. Chris Baryomunsi hailed Kinkizi Elite Media for the initiative of starting Television Station which is growing into a formidable media house.
Minister Baryomunsi remarks were contained in a speech read for him by Kanungu Assistant RDC Zepher Mugisha who represented him as the Guest of Honor at the Grand opening of Kinkizi Elite Television which was also celebrating one year in existence.
RDC Mugisha urged the founders of Kinkizi Elite Media to be truthful not to used and not to be owned by some people who promise them support in what they are doing and also avoid negative reporting especially on government activities.
While speaking at the same event, Kanungu District Aspiring Woman Member of Parliament Counsel Esther Majambere hailed Kinkizi Elite Media management and staff for being innovative unlike many youth are still waiting to be employed by others and urged them to remain focused and work for their future.
She also urged the journalists to always write stories which are not biased and to have discipline and integrity while dealing with people especially during this time politics and she also promised to support Kinkizi Elite Media and urged them to fear God because the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom and urged them to be bribed especially in politics time.
Kanungu District Speaker who is also the Mpungu Sub county District Councilor Frank Byaruhanga hailed Kinkizi Elite Media for serving the nation and called for discipline in what they are doing in order to gain trust among the general public who support their work.
He urged the Kinkizi Elite Media team not to be used by any person to decampaign others because their future matters alot because jobs of journalists is like for traffic officers because they do their job openly and urged them to make research and make balanced news and be trustworthy in their reporting not to be one sided.
Nyanga Sub county District Councilor Joshua Rukundo urged Kinkizi Elite Media to be inspirational, innovative and motivational which will encourage them not to be afraid to take risks to try new ideas which will take them far.
Chief Executive Officer Kinkizi elite Media Laban Tugume hailed all the people for loving and supporting Kinkizi Elite Media and promised to keep giving wigs to their stories and thanked his mother, Winnie Kasyaba for supporting him while starting Kinkizi Elite Media.
Earlier in the day, while speaking as a key note Speaker, Veteran Journalist Patson Baraire Mushaija, expounded the role of the media in fast changing digital revolution and urged the Kinkizi Elite Media team to practice their trade while exercising objectivity, truth and fact guided by the Journalists Code of Conduct if they are to get far in their career development.
The event which took place at New Meeting Point Restaurant was followed by the grand opening of Kinkizi Elite Media Utra Modern Offices complete with Studio facilities located along Amama Road in Kihihi Town Council in Kanungu District.
