Mangled Double Cabin pickup in which Ndyana was travelling in

The Police in Rubanda District have registered a single serious road accident that occured at Hamuko Village in Karengeri Parish in Muko Sub-county, leaving 3 people seriously injured.

Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Nelson Tumushime confirmed the accident that involved motor vehicle registration number UG 3400392 Toyota Hilux Double Cabin Pick-up, belonging to Kisoro District Local Government.

Tumushime explained that the vehicle got an accident when travelling in the direction of Kisoro District from Kabale when it failed to negotiate a sharp corner and overturned several times. 

Tumushime identified the injured injured as Kisoro District Chairman Ndyana Richard and two other unidentified victims who sustained serious injuries. 

Tumushime explained that the Traffic Police from Rubanda District swiftly responded to the scene and transported the injured to Kisoro Hospital for medicil care. 

The Police have since cautioned motorists using Kisoro – Rubanda – Kabale Highway to always remain vigilant and mantain the recommended speed limit and drivers are encouraged to always driver while sober and in case of fatigue they should rest.
