The Police in Kisoro District are investigating circumstances surrounding the death a 47 year old man identified as Hategeka Eugene a resident of Kisoro Main village in Central Division was allegedly assaulted and died instantly.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate has confirmed the incident which took place on 26th April 2026 at Club Hills in Kisoro Municipality.
The deceased was allegedly assaulted by Bahati and others after getting some misunderstandings in the bar, where the manager of the bar Niringiyimana Milla rescued him and took him to Mutolere Hospital where he was referred to Mbarara regional hospital where he succumbed to injuries yesterday morning 29th April 2026
The Officer in Charge of Criminal Investigations in Kisoro District connected with the OC CID Mbarara and the postmortem examination was done from Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital.
Maate said that when Investigations are completed, the suspects connected with incident will be apprehended for prosecution accordingly.
