But Matthias Walukagga, the Mayor of Kyengera Town Council, suspects that someone might have poisoned the family’s food, or that the father might have taken his own life, along with his children, due to a domestic dispute with his wife, who works abroad in the Arab countries.
“We suspect someone may have poisoned their food or water, but we can’t rule out the possibility of suicide and murder by the father, especially given the history of similar cases involving men who kill themselves and their children after disputes with wives working abroad.” Walukaga noted.
He has however, urged the Nsangi Police to carry out quick investigations into the death to ascertain the exact cause of the death.
