RUBIRIZI – Local government leaders have been warned against fighting government projects in their respective areas based on political differences.
The warning was sounded by the Rubirizi district Resident Commissioner Brunov Kyikanshemeza while presiding over a meeting with Kicwamba sub-county leaders who had tried to block the construction of Kicwamba hospital fence due to political differences. The RDC also launched Kicwamba Health Center III fencing project on the same day 5th December 2023.
RDC Kyikanshemeza vowed to use his responsibility to arrest such individuals who are enemies of development so that they are charged in courts of law thus urging residents to join him and support government development programs in their respective communities.
The Rubirizi district Chief Administrative Officer Mr. Kasagari Edward reminded residents and local leaders that government programs are always aimed at helping them hence encouraging them to welcome and defend them all the time.
He said that the government still has many good initiatives which they plan to launch in the poverty eradication campaign thus residents should fall in love with them and create a favorable environment for the implementers.
