The Police in Ntungamo district have launched a manhunt for a woman who reportedly fled the scene where a man died during sexual intercourse. The incident occurred on Sunday, June 15, in Kacerere, Nyarwanya Rubaare town council, at the suspect’s residence. 

Witnesses claim that the incident took place around 2:30 PM. The woman, identified only as Kellen, is a resident of Kacerere, while the man, who was found dead, was identified solely by his occupation as a lumberman. Details surrounding the circumstances of the man’s death remain unclear, leading to widespread speculation and concern within the community.

The alarming event was initially reported by the local vice chairperson, Deus Byamugisha. However, police response was reportedly delayed, prompting area councilor Coleb Rweguuta, who is currently acting as the LC III for Rubaare Sub County, to intervene and push for immediate police action. Following his intervention, detectives from the Rubaare police station arrived at the scene, where they retrieved the body of the deceased and transported it to Itojo Hospital for an autopsy.

As of press time, the police had not issued an official statement regarding the incident, and the suspect remains at large, causing unease among local residents. The community is left grappling with the implications of this tragic event, and many are urging law enforcement to expedite their investigation.
