BUSHENYI- Residents of Nyakashojwa village in Ibaare Sub – county have been shocked after finding a 22 year old man committed suicide in a coffee plantation.
The deceased is Mugabe Daniel aged 22 years a resident of the same area who committed suicide on 09/01/2024 at an unknown time by hanging self on a rope on an avocado tree in a coffee plantation.
This publication learnt that on 9th January at about 1pm, Niwagira Paulo Katondore (father to the deceased) reported to Kitabi police post that one of his sons called Mugabe was found hanging on an avocado tree.
The deceased had been last seen on 8th at his parents’ house after returning from bar very drunk, he moved away when the mother asked him why he was very drunk only to be found hanging on a rope by his sister Amumpaire Agnes in the morning and she informed the father who reported the matter to police.
Police visited the scene and the body, dressed in a grey shirt, black trousers was removed from the tree and taken to KIU Teaching Hospital Ishaka mortuary for postmortem examination.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirmed the incident to this website stressing that inquiries into the matter are still at hand.
