KAMPALA- Thousands of delegates from the East African Community on April 14th 2025 morning, converged at the Kololo Independence grounds in Kampala City to attend the 2025 International Kiswahili Conference.
The three days invent at the heart of Uganda’s capital City Kampala is aimed at promoting dialogue and Business in the East African region.
According to the Executive Director,of Mashariki Africa, Dr Ronex Kisembo, without the Africa adopting the Swahili language, the African continent will fail to integrate,integration means elimination of trade barriers which colonial masters have planted to frastrate the integration process.
While speaking at the event, Prof Patrick Lumumba, told, participants that Ugandans are adopting the language, now that the language is being taught in most Educational Institutions, countywide.
The meeting will be closed on Wednesday by the President of the Republic of Uganda His Excellence President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
