KABALE- The State Minister for Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives, Hon. David Bahati, has urged married couples to uphold the sanctity of marriage as ordained by the Bible.
Minister Bahati made this call at the Giveaway ceremony of Joan, a daughter to Kankwaasa Willy in Runyanjooka village, Kitumba Sub County, Ndorwa West in Kabale District.
He emphasized the importance of respecting and honoring marriage as a divine institution, stressing that marriage is a sacred union between man and woman, as ordained by God.
Hon Bahati reminded couples that marriage is a lifelong commitment, and that it requires dedication, love, and mutual respect to thrive, thus encouraged spouses to prioritize communication, trust, and forgiveness in their relationships, citing biblical teachings as a guiding principle.
Bahati who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Ndorwa West, asked citizens to actively participate in government programs such as Parish development model, Emyooga among others aimed at enhancing household development and transforming communities.
Minister Bahati further emphasized the importance of community involvement in government initiatives, citing numerous programs designed to improve livelihoods and foster economic growth.
He encouraged attendees to take advantage of these opportunities, stressing that collective effort is crucial for meaningful development.
