Maj. Gen Kahinda Otafiire

MITOOMA- The Internal Affairs Minister Rtd. Maj. Gen. Kahinda Otafiire has called on residents in Mitooma district to always be supportive of government schools so as to enable them have required resources rather than solely waiting for the government.

Minister Otafiire made the call on Sunday 1st September 2024 at the Fundraising towards renovation of Rwenteramo Primary school where he was the guest of honour in a function that was held at the school premises in Kashenshero Sub County, Mitooma district.

Kahinda noted that however the government tries to support its schools, there is a need for parents to also extend support where resources are not enough so as to enable their children to have quality education.

Speaking during the same function, Alex Karitundu Okanga from the Ministry of internal affairs asked leaders to desist from politics of identity and fighting one another but rather focus on serving humanity and unity for a common goal.

Karindiriza Timothy, the headteacher of Rwenteramo primary school noted that they have been irked with challenges of inadequate, dusty and leaking classrooms stressing that the day’s collection will help them sort them out.
