Musasizi, fellow leaders with the clergy slicing the ordination cake

KABALE– The Minister of State for Finance in Charge of General Duties Hon Henry Musasizi Aliganyira has appealed to the religious leaders to emphasize the promotion of theĀ  four sectors of the economy for income generation and increase employment opportunities during their sermons.

Minister Musasizi said this on Sunday while speaking at the ordination of 6 priests at Rushoroza Cathedral in Kabale Municipality where he asked the general public to practice commercial agriculture and stop growing food for home consumption only.

Hon Musasizi who is also the Member of Parliament for Rubanda East in Rubanda District said that Ugandans should start establishing industries to process the available raw materials in a bid to create employment opportunities and reduce exporting the raw materials.

On Tourism and Hotel Management, Minister Musasizi observed that there is a lot of job employment opportunities in this sector coupled with ICT especially in the area of research and innovation which the government is supporting.

The function was presided over by the Bishop of Kabale Catholic Diocese Rt Rev Callist Rubaramira and the ordained Priests include Deacon Alex Muhwezi from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Kishanje Parish, Deacon Anaclet Asingwire from St Joseph Nyamirama Parish, Deacon Robert Mugabe from St Kizito Maziba Parish, Deacon Christopher Niwagaba from Holy Family Buhara Parish, Deacon Innocent Kanyesige from Our Lady of Good Shepherd Rushoroza Cathedral Parish and Deacon Philemon Byomuhangi from Immaculate Heart of Mary Rubanda Parish.

The event was witnessed by distinguished guests who included Kabale District Woman MP, Hon Catherine Ndamira, Ndorwa East MP, Hon Wilfred Niwagaba, Kabale Municipality MP Hon Dr Nicholas Kamara, Rubanda District Woman MP, Hon Prossy Akampuria,  Rubanda West MP, Hon Moses Kamuntu andJacqueline Katabazi, Rubanda District woman Parliamentary hopeful.

Meanwhile the Kabale District Woman Member of Parliament Hon Atwakiire Catherine Ndamira has urged the newly ordained priests to be good representatives of the diocese and Kabale people by doing good deeds that uplift the Kingdom of God.
