MITOOMA- The Women and youths in Mitooma district have expressed gratitude to the Mk Baraza movement that donated money to support them in various activities.
Mk Baraza celebrations were held in Kyamuyanga, Kabira in Ruhinda South Mitooma district on Saturday 27th January 2024 and thousands of Mitooma natives gathered to express their happiness towards the function as they received different dignitaries in their district.
Hundreds of people who had come from different parts of the world could not hide their happiness and told our reporter that the function was more of the blessing than time wastage as some individuals and prominent politicians had been saying.
The blessings could be felt as the chief Guest; Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayeebwa gave Ugx 30 Million to the district Woman MP Hon Agasha Juliet Bashisha to empower women in the district. Tayeebwa had represented General Muhoozi Keinerugaba who was supposed to be the day’s chief guest.
Speaking at the Mk Baraza celebrations, Hon Agasha Juliet confirmed the receipt of the Ugx. 30M from the deputy speaker and revealed that they want to get more money as they have ugx 100M target to continue empowering Ugandans especially in Mitooma district.
Concerning the Ugx 100M target, Hon Juliet Agasha said they are expecting more funds from the MK Movement plus other dignitaries like Hon Kabanda and Hon Micheal Mawanda Maranga who also attended the function as Team MK and vowed the support the people of Mitooma financially through the office of the Woman Member of Parliament.
Ainebyoona Bright, a youth from Kyanzeire in Kashenshero thanked Hon Juliet Bashisha for being outstanding and connective since voters are now gaining from her lobbying capacity.
“These are the leaders we want to connect with big people and get support not those either aspiring or incumbent who just want to post their photos while at burials or enjoying luxurious dinners” he explained.
MK Baraza celebrations were to be held in Ruhinda Constituency on 12th January 2024 but were suspended and people blamed dirty politics for the suspension and now it was held in Ruhinda South Constituency and the host was the Constituency MP Hon Captain Mugabe Dononzio Kahonda in support with RDC and Mitooma district boss Mr Benon Karyeija Boneza.
