BUSHENYI- The Bushenyi – Ishaka Municipality Member of Parliament Hon. Kabuura Derrick Baimukye has asked for a Skilling centre in Bushenyi to mitigate skyrocketed youth unemployment
During the belated youths day celebration at Kizinda grounds in Bushenyi district, Hon Kabuura requested for a Skilling centre in Bushenyi before Guest of Honour – Head of office of National chairman, Presidential advisor Hajat Hadijah Namyalo.
In response, hajat Hadijah Namyalo thanked Hon Kabuura Derrick Baimukye for his idea stressing that there shouldn’t be anything deterring Bushenyi District from having it and requested Hon. Kabuura Derrick Baimukye to make a follow up through formal communication.
Meanwhile, Hon Katusiime Annet Mugisha the Bushenyi district Woman MP requested for an incubator for chicks in Bushenyi district to help boost the poultry business as a means of helping Ugandans out of poverty.
Hon Katusiime Annet Mugisha said that Bamugisha foundation have given chicks to Bushenyi Youths and have mastered the art of poultry rearing noting that once an incubator is availed, Bushenyi Youths will be productive and resultantly fight household poverty.
Hajat Hadijah Namyalo responded to the legislator’s request promising to engage H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to fulfil this request.
The belated Bushenyi youth day was celebrated on 7th December 2023 under the theme “empowering and skilling the youth”.
After the function, the chief guest and other leaders had a luncheon at the home of Counsel Amanya Cohen Kyampene in Rukindo, Bushenyi district.
