NEWS- It was all smiles and glamour at Rwakamondo Catholic Church under Christ the King Parish in Rukungiri district as the Rukungiri district Woman member of Parliament Medius Natukunda Kaharata fulfilled her pledge of 10 bags of cement. 

The development was confirmed on Tuesday 5th March 2024 by the church catechist Peragia Kebirungi at the church grounds in Kagyera cell, Northern A ward, Western division in Rukungiri Municipality.

The legislator had promised the donation on February 12th 2024 as part of her contribution towards the completion of the Catechist’s house completion at a function that was presided over by the Rukungiri Municipality legislator Hon. Dr. Elisa Rutahigwa.

Notable leaders from the church received the cement from the woman MP on behalf of the Christians. Speaking shortly after receiving the assortment, catechist Kebirungi commended Medius Kaharata for her unwavering support towards the construction of their church.

Ainembabazi Claire , the political assistant to Hon Midius Natukunda Kaharata, who handed over the cement to the church members commended the legislator for fulfilling her promise and further commended her for not only supporting the church but as well as schools and other infrastructure development.

Jasper Asimwe, one of the Christians from Rwakamondo Catholic Church also expressed joy over Natukunda’s fulfillment of the cement pledge to their church which she says will expedite the completion of its construction.
